Hii've met this particular guy online.....chatted with him for few days and he mention he has a son and that he cant wait for me to be his wif  was quite smitten by his replied and stuff.......make it shortcurrently he's on deployment in Nigeria and then we chatted about him taking leave so that we could meet up. He meet up with his department to enquiry about taking leave while being on deployment and this is what he texted me:

"With a permit till when my leave duration is over, They told me the duration is from three weeks to three month, [21/09 22:52] Ronald: Then I can talk to my fiance or family to decide on that
[21/09 22:52] Ronald: The Transit process is free if you are going for an official assignment or the deployment is over, they told me I need to know that the Military and the Red Cross will be responsible for this but you are requesting for the Transit process. The payment is meant for the Transit facility form which will be issued as soon as your payment is been confirmed.
[21/09 22:52] Ronald: They told me my deployment isn't over yet and am not on an official assignment so I will be charged for it then after it is processed..
[21/09 22:52] Ronald: After the fifth day,I will be called again to receive a permission to leave the camp base
[21/09 22:52] Ronald: After I make the payment to the finance department,I will be issued the form and after that,I will submit and gonna be under review for five days
[21/09 22:53] Ronald: Can you see that baby ?
[21/09 22:54] Ronald: I don't have much with me because I can't access my account on deployment, sucks though
[21/09 23:04] Ronald: When I calculated it all,the money is almost $2000 which I can't afford it all.

Hahaahahahah after the text i immediately do my research, based on my understanding a soldier is entitled for leave up to 30days, no paument or what so ever is required. Then i started to ask him send me a proof of his military ID, and what ive got was membership ID card.......hmmmm starting to get suspicious already so i decided to give him a call and wow......he sounds just like a nigeria guy, so i pick up some conversation with him. In the end i to him to clarify with me about stuff and why is he stuttering upon conversation on the phone? And told him off that i did do homework with regards to this and he can scam other but not me!!!! Hahaahahahah the end....thats all folks.

Hi! I'm currently chatting with a US soldier from Miami Florida, and currently deployed in Baghdad Iraq, I met him at okcupid.com. After a few days of chatting at okcupid site, he asked for my number in viber and I gave it to him. He has a US number so I trusted him. Few days back he said that he wanted to see me and can't wait until his deployment ends. He said that he'd meet with his commander to check his leave. Yesterday he messaged me and said that his leave got approved but that I needed to apply for his leave because only parents and fiance/girlfriend can apply and he hasn't anyone now because he lost his parents 3years ago. I asked him how to apply for his leave and he said that I only need to email his Commander with my name, home address, and telephone number. I thought this odd and I told him that this should not be the process, so I did a lot of research. Even checking his US number and found out that it is registered as a landline in Stockbridge Michigan, checked the official leave form and application for leave process of a US Military deployed abroad, and today I found this site. So can I assume that my chatmate is a definite scammer? Thanks for your reply.

Yes - it is a scam. The only person who can request leave is the military member themselves (not spouses, girlfriends, friends), and they do not pay for their leave.

What email addresses & phone numbers is he using? Can you post one or two of his emails including the email requesting leave (with your personal information removed).
