This guy called himself Patrick Norton, put up a profile in LinkedIn as a civil engineer. He connected with me in late September 2015 and befriended me. He claimed he has a wife who died of cancer 5 years ago and has a 13 y.o. daughter. He said he fell in love with me just from looking at my profile in LinkedIn. He then started an online relationship with me and claimed how much he loved me, and wanted me to become his wife. Then, he claimed he had to go to Malaysia for a construction project. He then persuaded me to loan him more than $70,000, claiming emergency needs for his project in Malaysia. I have already reported him to LinkedIn and LinkedIn already removed his profile. I am sure he will will try to find other targets, and may use other identities. Beware!
