Scammers like this usually spend some time pretending to fall in love with their correspondents; and becoming increasingly enthusiastic about meeting them. And then ... pretend to discover that they cannot afford to travel, and request financial assistance.
You will notice the lack of specific names: the scammer frequently calls the correspondent 'my love' and wishes to 'travel abroad' and 'stay in your country' - without actually naming the country. Such vagueness enables this scammer to send a copy of this email to many men, anywhere in the world. Some scammers may make more effort to enter accurate detail, and this scammer did enter a personal name in two places (removed), but still mostly used generic sentences.
The scammer had no intention of travelling - the sole intention is to steal the money.
