Information on romance scams and scammers.

Hi- My name is La La,
I have been contacted by a Major Paul Raynor on Facebook(email:[email protected]) & to asking for me to email this address:[email protected] to request leave for him. There are a few tips for those who encounter this scam.

Important facts to note about Military leave:
Military leave is not bought. There are never fees to be paid before leave will be granted.
A visit to a boyfriend/girlfriend/fiancee would not qualify as emergency leave.
An outside person can not apply for leave for someone in the US military. Only the soldier can apply, through official military channels.

I thought this was fishy from the beginning~no strangers contact me on facebook for possible romance-since I already have a boyfriend. Then, he sent me a picture which is not the picture in facebook- so dumb. I have several members of my family in the army who are officers that went through records to confirm this fool doesn't exist.

This is the email:
Hello La La,
How are you doing today sweetie...i am so happy whenever i see a message from you...it makes me smile within myself and i have a feeling within me that i have found the kind of friend i seek in my life...Getting to read your email made my heart filled with joy and i just wish i could get to be the man that will show you all those feelings of love which you really need in your life...though you may be thinking that it is easy said than done but i want you to know that in this life everybody can not be the same...you might have found love in the past and it may have been thrown right back at ya but you should have a belief that you have not met the man of your bone and that was why things happened the way it did....Communication is very essential when trying to build a relationship which one wants to be so strong,it has to be built on a very good communication foundation which will be strong and true....I am so happy for you that being a single parent God has actually helped you to see your sweet Daughter,Lil Diane to the college and by the grace of God she will become that great woman in life which you hope for her and she will even be much more famous than Opral....I want you to know that my being in the army does not mean i am a man of a strong heart, yes i am strong at heart but the strenght of love could make me so meek as a lamb and that is just exactly what i wanna be to the woman of my heart....I want you to feel like the real queen which you really are and make you appreciate the goodness of God through love....I am a fun loving man who appreciates a fun loving lady aswell and i will love to share out of the fun which you are also filled with so that our home can be a home of joy, peace and love and our kids will grow in a joyful home....i wish i can get to go on and on to make you understand how much it is to be loved and to love...it is surely a great thing..you never got to bother me with your words .....it was so loving reading through....I have to stop right now cos i need to be on parade rightaway but i surely wanna drop this so as to say "Good MORNING LOVE"

Have a lovely day my sunshine

I'm not sure what angers me more is that they(freakin' scammers) are now preying on our military and the way we feel about our military personnel and our true patriotism or the women/men who are taken in by them. Hope this helps someone out there to not be taken advantage of.
Please take care before your vested, heartbroken and poor
