Information on romance scams and scammers.

This guy contacted me through Mingle 2.
Sometimes I have the feeling he is another scammer but I'm not so sure.
Anyone heard about him?
His IP address points only to Yahoo.
On Mingle2 he claims to be in Antwerp but he gives me an address from Amesterdam.
I searched with almost all sentences from his e-mail and I could only found one sentenced already used by other scammers (Love is not about finding the right person, but creating a right relationship. It's not about how much love you have in the beginning but how much love you build till the end).
Some things are not very coherent specially when it comes for how long he has been married...
Anyone knows him???

His 1st e-mail was:
"Hi XXX, it's good to receive your message and . There are more about me that i need to share with you but here are few.. I live in Stadsdeel Zuid, near Amstelveenseweg metro station. But i was born and bred in Brussels, Belgium because my dad works there before he passed away . I moved back to Netherlands two years ago to take care of my grandmother. She is pretty old now about 93yrs. Both my parent are dead now and im the only child of my mother. I have a step brother Timothy, live in disability. My dad took an early mild heart attack and he died 9yrs ago . My mother had a related Cancer which was diagnose for several years before she finally pass away 4yrs ago. I'm Presently in Kuala Lumpur for an appointment, will travel back to Netherlands in two weeks time, and will like to meet you in person.

I like things outside, and i enjoy outdoor sport. This could be anything from a new hobby, (I'm about to learn Scuba Diving) . I like live theater, and i enjoy a movie here and there and use the TV mostly for background noise but have found a few new things to watch. I exercise pretty regular and eat pretty healthy. I love pasta, and i love seafood too, i love to eat out at a new restaurant..In order to that I cook mostly. A nice cup of coffee, a Good cold beer or a great Long Island Ise Tea or anything of your choosing sounds great to me. Maybe going out to lunch together or/and dinner and trying something I've never had! Everything in moderation is how I approach most things in life. I socialize with friends, traveling and exploring new adventures where ever or what ever they maybe. my favorite color is Red and white.. There you know something about little old me. Now your turn ? I hope to hear from you again.

His story is a common scammer's story. It will turn into there being problems on his "return to Amsterdam" and he will ask you to send him money for taxes or lawyers or whatever.

You will find many scammers on paid and non paid dating sites.

I suggest you leave dating sites. Get your self together and work through the pain.

Then meet your mate the traditional way. Through family, friends, church and casual shopping.

You would not lend a man money on the first date. Nor would you lend a man money if his details are not valid.

Never send money to anyone you never met face to face.

Never receive money or packages from someone you never met face to face.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

Thank you for your answer...I am "all together"and I don't send money and/or received packages not even from people that I know, less from people I never met in person.
Unfortunately the scammers are not only in he dating sites...they are everywhere: FB, LinkedIn, skype, just name it......
Subscribing to a date site doesn't mean that you want to find "a mate"...for me was just an opportunity to meet people outside work (as I'm not living in my country!)...or so I thought...
