Information on romance scams and scammers.

I thought I might be naughty and find a Friend online. How can I tell if the person is real or a scam?
My gut is telling me to run, but I'm interested, as I'm sure a lot of guys are, by the nice picture she sent and the enticing emails.
Can you guys offer a suggestion?
She emailed me from [email protected]

We need more information before we can say it's a scam or something else. Could you post a couple of the emails she sent you with your personal information removed? And what site you "met" her on?

The email is not written from someone who's first language is English.

Could be a typical romance scam or blackmail scam.
