Romance scam

I have just received a contact on POF from an obvious scammer. I googled his description and it shows the4 same profile on various sites worldwide with different names and photos. He has already asked me to go on yahoo messenger giving me an id address which is
info.woode at y a h o o .com.
I have googled this address but as nothing came up. The spacing is as he typed it to me.
He says his name is James and he lives in London.
Should I get some more info or just report it to POF and have him removed?

Yahoo tells me James, his age and location of Florida
I'd try to gain more info. And if the individual is found to be a scammer, post the info up to make it known to others.
But having said that, I do hope you have found a genuine person.

Thank you for that! I have now passed the info to 419eater site and someone there is going to see how far it can go! Everything about the contact screams scammer! Its the,'my wife died and left me with 15 year old son version'! James is supposed to be white American but his language is Nigerian scammer!

Fried Chicken, I am not quite sure that the "language of a Nigerian scammer" is. Could you post up more information please. If you have any emails, please post the header.

Not all people in Nigeria are scammers. Not all people who speak broken English are scammers. We want to be careful not to stereotype or mischaracterize other people. We have no problem calling a scammer a scammer. We like to have evidence from either the script they use or the attempt to get money sent to them with nothing else being present.
