This is about a good friend of mine who was contacted on a dating site by a man calling himself Filip Berg. He said he was a widower working offshore in the oil industry in the North Sea and that he was a deep sea welder. He said he worked for a company called Deep Shore Services - http://www.deepshoreservices.com - and he sent copies of a contract as well as photos. I'd like to attach these but need help from an administrator as I'm new to the site and can't see how to do it.
He sent messages on WhatsApp several times a day, saying he couldn't wait to meet her. Here's a typical message:
He phoned her several times and she said he sounded Norwegian, which is what he said he was. After some months he said something had gone wrong with the contract, a pipe blew up, and asked for money. After two payments totalling £6000 he disappeared.
He sent this email to tell her more about himself:

He asked her to send money to a bank account registered in London to a man named Jerry Ifeacho. After two payments he said the job was finished and he would be returning home to 117 Peel Road, London E17 2LJ. This address is two flats and the ownership is not listed at the land registry.
I checked ownership of the website http://www.deepshoreservices.com and it is registered in the Netherlands. The owner used the email [email protected] which has also been used in another similar scam detailed on this site.

Good evening, I appreciate giving me your email address to contact you. I ll tell you little about me, I was born in Oslo, Norway to a wonderful parents - they met in college and were happily married the passing away of my dad in 2011. I have a younger sister she is married to a French and the live in Lens with there two beautiful kids. We grew up in a very loving and stable home. We are a very close family but are realizing our family is getting smaller with grandparents and others of that generation passing away. I have realized that friends are becoming more like family, especially in times of joy and sadness. I have learned so much from friends of all ages.
I grew up in a christian home, Catholic to be precised. I am humbled with the grace, hope and redemption God offers. I try to live my faith each day - whether I am having a good day or not - seeing others through eyes of faith. I have been surrounded by a community of family and friends who are in my life. I look at life as an acronym - Learning my Identity from my Experiences. I also believe in the mind/body connection and that I should live each day as though it were my last but take care of my body and mind as though I was to live forever. Again, I regularly attend church on Sundays when i can. I have a very strong faith and have been able to maintain that through daily readings and prayers.
I have a daughter, she's my only child and she is 13 years old and live with my mother back home since the demise of my late wife 6 years ago, I’m a widower. Although fairly contented and comfortable with myself, I do like to meet and share new experiences with that someone special. I know that special person is out there! So, I’ve recently decided to put myself “out there” more actively and explore new connections and stay open to what might develop.
I love adventure and I will try anything once (okay, almost anything). I am told I am really funny. I am kind and very compassionate. I can laugh at myself. I am a fantastic father. I shoot straight from the hip. I can sometimes be very shy. I am a great writer. I believe in fate. I am a Salsa dancer, aside from my work. I dream incredible dreams. I have a great sense of humor. I laugh all the time. I do believe that love makes the world go 'round. I enjoy making the people around me laugh and having them feel at ease to relax and enjoy the moment.
I am looking for someone to share life's moments with and laugh, laugh, laugh!, Someone who is sincere, honest and has integrity. I am not into game playing. Life is far too short for that. Someone who isn't afraid to show a little PDA. Taking a walk with someone special and have her take my hand or maybe put a arm around my shoulder is something I would really like.. Are you someone special who doesn't sweat the small stuff? I hope to meet a great lady who takes pride in their appearance and enjoys the feeling that a great workout can give them. A little polish goes a long way. I believe that you never know when, where or how you are going to meet that special someone……anything is possible.
Everybody has a story to tell! If you are serious about meeting the love of your life, why wait another minute? A friend asked me to try the dating site and here you are, i believe with time we ll get to know each other more and better. I am not looking for someone to live with, but someone i can't live without. Sharing the rest of my life with that someone and growing old with that someone is something to strive for. Not settle, but actively seek the one who will complete the picture of my life.
