I will start with how this began. I accepted a friend request from a person on Facebook. Then a week or so afterwards she started chatting. Totally innocent stuff. Exchanging ideas on philosophy, religion, and then favorite things to eat, recreational hobbies. We developed an interest in each other. I am going to keep the name of the person private for now. But I have recorded ip adresses and email address. As well as their profile on Facebook. She said she has a mother in a state a little distant from mine, And an aunt in a state next to that. She was once studying at a university in my state. Then on to a much distant university. She reports to once have been a nurse. Now doing a volunteer gig for UNICEF. As time goes on we chat constantly and we veer into comfortable talk. Tastefully I flirt. Never sexually flirt. But calling her pet nicknames. Then she appears interested in my job. What do I do? How much money I make. The photos in the Facebook profile is that of a youngish adult woman. Immediately I sense they are staged. Like a photo shoot one would see in a catalog. No personal touches like outside in her yard, or at a park. But I let that go.I also am semi smitten by her sweet talk. She exudes an air of care for me. "How was your night" "How's it going?" Pet nick names like "boo" "Sweet man" makes me feel cared for. I then notice she typed intelligently but in broken English. I repeatedly ask her to call me voice. She says she has a problem with her phone. She even sends a picture to my phone of a phone with a busted screen. She says her aunt in a different state has loaned her a cell phone. She is a UNICEF volunteer I imagined to myself. What prevents her from getting to a land line? Does she not live in a dorm maybe or is it possible she could borrow the phone of a fellow UNICEF colleague? I do ask her only to be told "baby I would be embarrassed to use another person's phone." I asked pointed questions about the local of one of the universities she attended as her Facebook profile indicated. She is evasive. She then surprisingly tells me of a sick mother? Would I send $30 for medicine." I agree to. I tell her I will. But I delay. She asks why i never sent the money. I tell her that my credit card is past due. Well this is where I was so brainwashed and love bombed by nearly a month of sweet talk and sharing musical interests, and I even dug up a short story I wrote years ago and sent it. I was so taken in that I gave her my credit card password and login info. Two days later the credit card debt was paid. She then texts with me. Then asks if I will buy $300 worth of i tune cards. I do. Using my credit card. She asked me to photo the cards with my phone camera and text them to her. I need to mention that the whole chat sessions are on Facebook Messenger. I would send the pics of the i tune cards to her Facebook Messenger via my phone. We would send chats on my phone or on a pc. But always on Facebook. l Twice She had someone pay my credit card bill. Twice I bought $300 in i tune cards. Twice she lovingly told me that I can buy anything I need on the card.I would protest saying that since she helped me pay the charges, I would not feel right to buy too much even though the card was mine. I told her I loved her more. I felt like she was a charming woman who was good hearted. One time a friend I took a friend to the hospital for a routine procedure. The procedure was taken longer than usual. I went to the Wal Mart, bought the i tune cards. Right there in the friend's semi private hospital room, I clicked the i tune cards and then sent them to her. My friend was naturally curious. Immediately he asked what my "Facebook girl" was up to. He said he had a bad feeling about why she wanted me to buy i tune cards and then send their pictures to her. I told a person I work with about this Facebook friend, at first he seems supportive. But as I go into the way she paid my credit card off so I can buy the cards, he bristled. He remarked she was a scammer. When I told my niece that my friend was offering to wire me $10,000 to my credit union account she urged me to call the police. Now, my co worker, said that he knew his father was skilled in detecting email and i p addresses. I never let my online friend know, that I was suspicious. But I need to know who this really could be. I have her charmed into thinking I am entirely accepting of her love and affection, and her reason for not being able to talk voice. A phone with a faulty mouth piece. I am waiting to let my friend's dad help me to trace the whereabouts originally given to me by her. Now. If I find out this is a legit person, so be it. But and if I find out the re is a scam operation going on, I will be able to get away from her. Is there anybody who can help as well to locate this individual with me? If so any body serious, I will tell you this "woman's" email, and Facebook profile link. So here goes my curiosity. Who is she really?

You are dealing with a romance scammer, who is most likely a young male in Africa or the Far East.

The credit card payments that "she" paid for you will actually have been paid for by a scam victim who was tricked in to paying them. The scammer has made you a money launderer and if/when the victims realise that they have been scammed and report it to the authorities, the only person using their real details for them to investigate will be you. The same would have happened with the $10,000 they were offering you.

As for your friend's father - he isn't going to find anything useful. Even if he found an IP address, it isn't going to identify the person.

The best thing to do is just block the scammer and don't respond to them any further.

Please also post their full details here for their other victims to find.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
