Please help his other victims by posting his details - name, email address, telephone numbers, plus a copy of the actual email asking you to pay the money.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Stop trying to warn him - there is nothing that he can do about his photos being used, they're out there now, he can't get them back. He may have already had hundreds of people trying to warn him and is sick of it. That's if you actually found the real person and not another scammer.

What about the real person in the photos? I really feel like I need to know who the real person is and speak to him/her.

The real person is very possibly married, involved, unavailable or simply uninterested. He or she may not welcome contact from a stranger who has been scammed by someone using his/her photos, and may see it as an intrusion into his/her personal life. In some cases, victims have located and contacted the real person, only to be hurt more when the real person responded poorly to the contact. Even if you find the real person in the photos and make him/her aware the photos are being used, there is nothing that person can do. The scammer has saved those photos, and there is no way to get them back. By contacting this person, you may very well be causing him or her stress since he/she can’t control the situation at this point. As a general rule, trying to locate and contact the real person is NOT recommended.

If you are in crisis can seek anonymous assistance at the following resources .

http://www.connectsafely.org/faq-on-sex ... extortion/

What are my options for getting help?

* Contacting a crisis hotline or chat service, online or via phone. These can be found all over the US and in many other countries. This is a good option if you prefer to remain anonymous while exploring how to proceed, and crisis lines can often refer you to a victim advocate or other legal adviser near you. [In the US, you can search for one by zip code here or visit CrisisChat.org.]

* Talking with a victim advocate or social worker in your town or city. In the US, there are victim advocates in county offices, police stations, domestic violence prevention centers, rape crisis centers, sheriff’s offices, and offices of state attorneys general. Victim advocates can help you gather evidence, put together a safety plan (figure out how to keep you safe from what’s being threatened), and/or get a civil protection or anti-stalking order against the person threatening you. [You can do a Web search for “victim advocate” in your location or, in the US, call the National Organization for Victim Assistance in the Washington, D.C., area – 1-800-TRY-NOVA/800-879-6682 or go to tryNOVA.org.]
