I have been receiving emails from a British soldier in Afghanistan for 2 weeks & then I received the below email, is this a scam?

I just got back in from a rescue mission in the city of Kandahar, I was really lucky on this one, I am so tired and need to leave this place.

My dear, I’ve been in a state of dilemma and not knowing what to do but I have picked up courage to seek for your advice/help because this is important to my life and I believe you will not deceive me because I believe when there is love, there is trust too.

It's a definite scam.

Asking the victim to receive "valuables" for them is a standard scam script. The delivery company will try to charge you fees for the delivery.

The best thing to do is just block the scammer and stop responding to him. Don't accuse him of being a scammer, he will just try to deny it, just block him and disappear.

Please also post any other details you have such as other email addresses, phone numbers and his full name and claimed rank as his other victims may be searching for them.
