Information on romance scams and scammers.

Online romance scams are still on the rise. A short video by CBS News with Robert Frost, who's pirated photos are known as the most proliferated on the internet, captures the significance of this global problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mijGF9T325Y

A very good item Kraven, and I also found this one which is quite emotional but at least it shows victims that they're not alone.

It also involves counterfeit cheques which is a current scammer favourite.

Gomerpyle,
My goal is to pass along the awareness aspect. Hopefully, increasingly fewer people end up like the woman (too late) you linked on the youtube video. There should be no reason people end up traumatized like the woman as there is so much information available on the subject of romance scams and ID theft. Matters of the heart make it sometimes very difficult to think clearly and logically. I think we are best to pause before getting in too deep, emotionally and financially. Gotta all be realistic. Perhaps others reading this will be willing to pass along the CBS News story regarding Robert Frost, wherever possible (it captures all sides very quickly). What does everyone else think about this? Is it getting better, the same, or worse? What else can be done?
