Hi

I am currently conversing with a person, who goes by the name of Flanders Lucas (+1 (669)259-3001)) claims to be a US Soldier in Afghanistan doing peacekeeping and wants to resign from his post. He advised me to send a WhatsApps message to a number +1(947)207-0954 , who appears as Lieutenant General Charles Pede, who has responded back stating that it will cost $14,000 for a letter of resignation for the letter to be signed by top attorney and lawyers fee.

To resign from a mission, is there an expense? or is this a scam? He also claims he has a son and provided me with an email address ([email protected]) which once again is not sure if it is genuine, as the son replies 3 weeks later, after i have sent a message.

Something does not seem or feel right,. Can this be investigated. Is there anyone know if this is Genuine?

Thanks and look forward to hear from you soon

It's a definite scam. Members of the military can't resign from a mission and the military never communicates with random strangers on the internet about soldiers.

The best thing to do is to block the scammer and stop responding. Don't accuse him of being a scammer, he will just deny that it and carry on scamming you.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
