I ended up comfronting her and linking this webpage in our yahoo messenger conversation . She denied everything and says that in no way that she is the same rossey . I also told her in the very begining that she might be a scam . And she acted like I hurt her feelings . I showed her that she used the exact sme lines from this post on me . And she still denied it ! She had so many inconsistancies that I thought from the very bigining that this might be a scam . She claimed she went to college in new york and studied accounting , but her written english was just terrible . I also ended up find her real phone number on a different forum . Apparently she has taken advantage of a lot off people . Anyways , thanks again . I will definately spread the word .

I think she now goes by the name Tessy Campbell. I met her on an online dating site. She claimed to be 30 years old and just moved here from Germany and used the same story about her boyfriend dying in a car wreck and owning her own business and is now in Africa on business. The e-mails she sent me are identical to the ones that are posted on this site. She also had pictures posted on the site of a young woman who looked to be around 30 she was claiming this person to be her. I knew something didnt add up from the start so I started googling phrases from her e-mails and found this site. I'm glad you guys are here. I would have never given her money but it saves a lot of time and energy e-mailing her. I am curious if there is anymore information about who she realy is.

I am happy you realised it was a scam and have posted this information. It will enable other potential victims from falling for this scammers lies.

Although there is a good chance it is the same scammer, there is no way to be sure with the information you have provided.

Scammers are often using each others scripts so just because you have received the same email, it doesn't mean it is the same scammer.

Could you please post the email address, and the pictures you received and if you know how to, the header would also be handy to determine if it is the same scammer.

As to who "she" really is, there is little chance that "she" is actually a she.

The IP address may help to work that out but scammers normally work from the darkness of an internet cafe in countries that do little to stop the scamming activity.

It must be about year ago when this same "name" wrote to me.
With her own words,she was in Ghana cos of fabric business of
her own models.
She get sick,run out of money,the cops took her passport,she asked
to send 800$ money,so she could go back to States and promised to send
that money back.
I told her to use credit cards,but the reason why not,her bank in States
was closed her account.
I didn´t send any money,cos her explanation was so transparent anyway.
Sorry but I don´t have those pics any more,but I might be find those pictures

Scam!

So I put an item up on Craig’s List, which is well known for having zero protection from scammers. I got a few hits on the item from people who thought I would be greedy enough to ship things above my asking price to other locations when I clearly stated ‘local only’.

I got an email from Gabriel Collins (an amalgam of two front men for Genesis, Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins) and Loreta Borishade, AKA several different people. I also got a suspect email from someone calling him/her self ‘bim gold’ which is too close to the name of a pyramid scam in canada.

Note also this further information which the sender wishes to be posted here to alert and warn other potential victims.

I then received an email from Richardson Cole ([email protected] ) asking me to send Lakers jerseys. I received a cashiers check in the mail today from Bright Star Credit Union with the date (post dated for xxxxx), name, dollar amount, and written out dollar amount ALL hand written versus generated by printer. I called the credit union and verified that the cashier’s check is in fact a fraud. They do not post-date cashier’s checks or handwrite any part of them. The check is for $3,500 USD and he asked me to get some jerseys and send the rest back via Western Union.

Richardson Cole also wanted me to send the merchandise to same address that Rossey Lucas had me ship to:
