Information on romance scams and scammers.

I recently got contacted by a male scammer. He sent me emails, we chatted on messenger alot and made brief phonecalls. Then he went on a supposed business trip to Lagos State, West Africa and suffered a car crash on the way to the airport for the return journey. I had a phonecall and email from the supposed hospital called the Royal Hospital or Royal Clinic, address C-15 Akapakpava Road, Lagos. Name given was Dr Peter Doda. I googled and found it all seems to be a scam as the address was posted here by another victim.

email address of clinic [email protected]

The request for money came from the clinic, they wanted 500 notes to save my husband to be's life - im gonna let him die but i know he will come back to find another victim. one thing i have noticed that the scammers have in common is they have no family or close ties apart from children. He told me i was all he had therefore putting the onus on me to cough up the money as there was no one else.

Hello may,

I'm sorry you got into contact with this lowlife, and I think it's great you took the time to warn others.
And good on you you realised his technique!

Thanks for the words of support. Although I didn't get totally taken in it's still not a nice feeling to know I've been lied to for the past 5 weeks. I would imagine that we all recognise the signs - it's just that don't want to see them. We all want to feel loved.

Hi May: Whatever you do dont feel like you did anything. You were very lucky to see the scam as it was. I know what you mean about wanting to feel loved. I did the same thing, only I sent money into the thousands, feel like a idiot still today. It really does make it hard to trust anyone after something like this happens.
You are very lucky to get rid of the scammer before he took from you.

Good luck !!!

i was scammed by this guy too. luckily i didn't give him any money. this guy is using this profile and picture but it is not him. he is not the man in the pictures. the man who is scamming is in malaysia. i can't put all the pieces together but once you've been scammed, it is almost like a process you have to go through to find answers. i feel i need this for closure. i truly got attached to the "charlie kester" in the photo and his kids. we skyped and he had video of the man and his kids, so i thought i was meeting him and his kids. it has been emotionally draining. i hope no one else has to go through this. this man has many accounts on facebook and i am trying to contact all the women now to warn them.

This guy just hit me up on Facebook today... The message was ridiculously long and sounded like a scammer... So I told him to tell me about himself... He sent me another lengthy message with a picture of his passport included. Is there anyway to catch these dirtbags?
I tried to attach his photo but it didn't work... Anyway he said his name is jack Kerry

I was hit by a man name himself Jack Kerry, wondering any photo can be seen ?

He said his wife passed away a dead baby inside the stomach 4 years ago.

He sent me his home address on London (Googled and no such address) and one copy of his passport, after talking for a month he went to collect his work Payment from USA, cost a few millions. He said he was running out of cash before he could change the payment chq ... Is there any way to get his real dirt face out ?

I can see from his FB, he is contacting others woman via FB daily. I Guess the picture was not real him?

Yes, scammers do not use their own pictures. They steal them off of social media.

My colleague (50, widow with 5 kids and making very little money in SE Asia) has a handsome and younger business man using Skype video. It's some b.s. about undying love and him wanting to marry her, whom he never met in the flesh.

No IP address to check, no license plate shown of his "new German car". I've asked her to get his landline # and the physical address.

Oh, and he has a fake FB with not a single photo. - - Am exasperated that my colleague thinks of him as <<a simple man>>. I've sent her a photo story and told her about my own FB:

real name, real photos, real cell #. A man in his 40s shouldn't play games with a fake FB account!!!

Hope to get his photo. Adil in FEZ, Morocco. Movie star handsome. Rich - but doesn't have time to fly over?!? Yes, he agreed to do that - a f t e r her visiting him, a total stranger

Thanks for sharing your story - it's sickening how these crooks play on women's generosity!
