Here are a few of the emails I received from the supposed 'Captain Robert Jenkins Hernandez', who has broken my heart and spirit!!

This was his first email (far too many to attach) but have photos of whoever this poor person really is, just trying to work out where I can post them. I feel so much for this man in the photos and his family.

Hello Sues69. Wish it was under happier circumstances. If not mistaken the bad captain can be seen on the page http://www.asiafuns.com/state/Illinois_dating_singles/
Many of us know exactly the same feeling. But the first positive aspect is you have posted the details of the thieving scammer. And your story has saved someone in the future. I know it's difficult but the person you thought was real is not a factual person. Scammers are very skilled at quickly sizing their victim and then manipulating them. I know my words are probably meaningless but do not be hard on yourself. The scammer will not care if you go down the spout. Of course you will recover in time. How long depends upon your resolve.
In my case, i did some self-analysis during the months of recovery and I am now a much stronger person because the thought of being scammed didn't even register - until it happened.
I would imagine you will go through many different stages in the coming months. I cannot over emphasise this enough, you must get up, dust yourself off and move forward. Part of the healing process has begun by posting your story in the forum. Others will be alerted when they conduct a search.
Try not to be hard on yourself because you have done nothing wrong. The last time I checked, it wasn't against the law for one person to have loving thoughts for another. It's not your fault the other party is a fraud that would not know what warm feelings are.

I have the exact same message from Captain Alvin Mccauely in my email.

The thing that tipped me off was when I found two accounts on netlog with different names but the same picture, I asked him about it and he said one of his army buddies wanted an account.

Am so greatful for this site, didn't get to the point of his asking for money, all he asked for was a cartigan saying it was cold there at night but i haven't done anything for him.

Anyone else needs info or proof on this one, message me!

Thankyou for posting gladtofindout. Very happy to hear you did not lose money to the scammer. They will often use a prepared script and simply drop a name into the slot which is easier for them to do. Whether it being the same individual in both these cases is difficult to determine. Anyone conducting a search in future will stay clear of the scammer after viewing your report.
