Possible/probable Scammer

I think I'm a victim of a Military Romance scam.They guy is William Graves and his email address includes this name.He has sent photos of himself supposedly in Iraq-well he is there but the photos I'm now sure are not those of the person I'm corresponding with.I only realised after I became suspicious about a couple of things and googled scams and up came all this info about military scams-I was shocked.He has not asked for money but has suddenly asked for my name, address, phone etc so a package can be sent to me-a package with money and military documents.I have been chatting for about 5 weeks now and he was quite good at keeping me believing but once he asked me for contact details so his friend Rashid a diplomat from Iraq could deliver a parcel so we can start our new life together I started wondering what that was all about?Scary.What on earth would he be delivering?Guess its time to block him and stop all contact.

Does anyone know what is going on?
Quite disappointing but I am glad I searched before giving too much away.

This is another typical format of a military scam.

He will pretend to send you a package, and might even refer you to a fake shipping company website where you will be given a tracking number, etc.

The fake package will be held up in customs somewhere, or something will happen, and you would be required to pay fees to get the package from wherever it is stuck.

As you suggested, the best thing to do is cut off all contact now.

Glad you got suspicious and searched! Can you please post the scammers email addresses and emails here so others who may search will find this thread? This may help others avoid this scam.

Thanks-obviously now!Thanks for your help.This site and others helped me before I got caught-thankfully.Amazing how many people get caught by it even though it always sounds a bit dodgy they always say something to restore your confidence. I still find it hard to believe because he came up with all the right answers.Sad because my" romance" was fabulous! and I sound pretty fabulous in this email!What a catch!

I thought the English was great sometimes and bad other times.
Someone else on here also alerted me when they also were called a "knight in shining armour" Bit funny when you are a female!
