Information on romance scams and scammers.

I don't know where this one came from, it didn't come through the dating site the others have come to me from; possibly when I responded to one of the previous scammers he gave this email to more of them. So I'll have to change my email address, I suppose. I guess the key is to never respond to these assholes, even to confirm they're scammers. It's obvious - no need to bother with a short conversation to confirm. No girl who doesn't know you is going to hit you up out of the blue like this.

It came with an attachment and 3 photos which I'm not going to click on because they're probably infected.

I only know how to collect information from POP mail, by clicking on 'Properties'. This one came into a separate gmail account so I don't know how to collect the information on the email. There's no 'Properties' tab in gmail that I'm aware of.

If you are using Gmail, click on the small downward pointing arrow to the right of the "Reply" button (RH side), then "view original" to see the headers. But there's no point if the sender is Gmail as they strip the sender' IP address from he headers.
I get a few like that, despite never having been on a dating site. They are just spam, sent out in bulk to harvested email addresses.

I clicked on that arrow and found nothing showing any kind of header information for any of the messages in the inbox. Maybe Gmail must have changed something. It did allow me to 'report as phishing'.

Click on the "Show Original" and you will get a new window with a lot of figures and numbers on it.
