This person has a profile on OkCupid. User name is holidaymakermvp.
This is almost the same letter that is posted in this forum under other names.
His scam romance letter I received on 18 August 2011 is as follows:

However, I believe each person deserves their own chance and don't judge anyone.. In fact, I try to keep an open mind with everyone.. At least as much as a human being can.. I believe in ROMANCE! I am constantly told that I'm good looking, look and act far younger than my age (while still being responsible for the most part).. I am considered intelligent, honest, capable of carrying on conversations on a variety of topics, kind, caring, giving, passionate, compassionate, a leader with a commanding presence, possessing a dry sense of humor and so much more! You will find me a contradiction in terms.. I can be intense yet laid back, intelligent yet do some of the most stupid things, yet shy, a leader yet not afraid to take directions and be a role player, funny yet serious, etc..

I do not seek a replacement mother for my children rather, I seek one amazing woman who not only accepts my relationship with my children but won't feel threatened nor jealous of this relationship and who can blend seamlessly into our family unit..

I guess I'm looking for a woman who can love me as I am (good, bad and ugly).. Someone who can relate about life and it's ups and downs and will want to share them.. I want my match to be able to work together to obtain goals that we've both set.. I'd like us to be able to grow as individuals as well as a couple.. I'd want our relationship to be secure so that we can feel comfortable and trust each other completely without questions!..

I do not have a particular physical "type" that appeals to me.I am not the jealous type by any means.I believe that in a relationship you have to be a family regardless if the children are not biologically yours a family is a family no matter what! I would never try to be a replacement father it just can't be done, but to be there for the children and support them and be a part of their life is an important thing!..

I hope that I didn't bore you with all this information. I did not date for close to 12 years after the death of my wife all because I wanted to make sure that I knew what I want and that I was in a good place in my life and ready to share it with a partner.I am at that place now!..

I am willing to relocate provided that the relationship is moving in a long term,serious direction. I am not interested in bopping around "trying women out".. LOL... on a more serious side, I am not about having sex with just anyone. I must have feelings for the person and she for me.There must be that deep seeded trust before it would move to the sexual phase.There's just too many diseases out there and to be honest, I've seen what they can do to a life if you're careless sexually. I wouldn't want that for anyone I know or care about.Don't get me wrong though, if the relationship were to get to that phase, I am completely into pleasing my woman.... COMPLETELY!

Gabriel Cortez: HURRICANE IRENE LETTER: 24 August 2011

Hello Everyone,

As you all have probably heard Hurricane Irene is headed towards the Bahamas. At this time we are all fine. We tried to get a flight out of the Bahamas but they do not have any more available flights so we have no other option than to stay here until Saturday. We hope that the airports will remain open after the hurricane passes and that there will not be much damage. They have informed us that we may have to prepare to stay several days longer if flights are cancelled and that they will work with us to try to do their best to get us home as soon as they can. Unfortunately at this time it is a waiting game to see what happens. If there is a lot of damage most likely the airport will remain closed. They have flown the planes to somewhere else to prepare for the hurricane and will return once over. The locals we find to have mixed feelings about the hurricane. Many are not worried while others are because usually Atlantis is protected by the surrounding islands and have never been threatened to be hit with a hurricane of this magnitude. I will do my best to keep you all updated since I know this affects you all. As of right now they have placed a state of emergency here to the residents and guests of the Bahamas and starting tomorrow they will be closing everything in the afternoon. They plan to move us into the ballroom of the Royal Towers most likely by tomorrow afternoon where there is no windows or glass and we will be told to remain there until they give us the clear. The staff at our resort have been trying to keep up us all informed of the plan and notify us of any changes. We unfortunately do not have internet in our room. And the way I am sending this out to you all is that we paid to use the internet for 24 hours so that we can notify everyone of our situation. They have informed us that they have back up generators and plenty of drinking water so we should be fine if we have to remain in the ballroom for multiple days. Like I said earlier I will try to keep you all updated as I know information and if I am able to. The buildings here are built very well so I am not worried for our safety and the staff seem to be very prepared and capable to handle this situation. Hope to be home as planned on Saturday but will let you all know if I am not.

Scammers are persistent and will keep trying to draw you back into the story they have made up. I am sure if you take some key phrases from the story about the hurricane, you will find they have taken that from someone else. They are like that.
