This is how I was scammed grottbert..I never lost any money thank God because of Australia's strict security laws and my money was sent back from Western Union.
Like you mine, also posing as a US soldier started emailing me on Facebook and the same thing happened; laid on the charm and all the true love crap until I found out he was from Lagos.
A friend of mine warned me he may be Nigerian and gave me a web site to look at; sure enough, his scam was on there and not only that, I found a blog list with his email on it as a well known scammer.
My advice?? Post all the crap he sent you here, let others see what his method was..although I am guessing it is probably very similar to what most of us got.
We are all sorry we fell for it but you have to remember, they are very good at what they do, they have been dojng to many people for a very long time..I just thank God mine never got my bank account details..see my post with the email..militaryphonefordeparmy on the Romance scams list.
They are despicable people and we can only hope that karma catches up with them one day..it always does.
