I received a mail from FAITH on Cupid.com. She wanted me to chat with her on yahoo messenger. She seems to be a nice european girl. Her picture shows her standing along a railwayline. She claims to live in Berlin, Germany. We chatted for quite some time, but she was asking the same questions several time. Looks as she was just putting up a question without thinking. Suddently she could post a lot of words saying that she loved me of all her heart and that kind of things. A lot of times she was starting with I see. Then she would start writing something, but she quite often did not answer my questions. She admitted that she was living in Accra, Ghana. She claims to be studying for a nurse, After some chatting she was asking for money so she could buy a laptop. Then she wanted be to buy her som timefor her mobile phone.

She has a webcam and I was looking at an attractive girl, but when I talked to her on her mobile phone, she does not sound like an European woman.

I do not communicate with her any more. I warn everybody: Stay away from her.

I posted something about FAITH earlier. She uses the navne on faith71638 on Cupid. I told her about scam and first she did not knw what the word scam was. Later she used the word scammers so I am quite sure she know what we are talking about. I send her £ 400 using Western Union. She thanked me and sent some more pictures of herself.

Today (9.9.2011) she asked med to buy her a smartphone, so she could chat with me wherever she was. She loved me and she wanted to have a baby with me....... The price of the smartphone would be £ 800. When I said I could not afford that now, she said she had to go to her school.

I have now sent her a chat message that I do not want to communicate with her any more.

I also think she is on a site called speeddater. There she is under the name of lzzyn saying she lives in USA. Her picture on that site look VERY simular to the ones on Cupid.

LET THIS BE A WARNING TO OTHER MEN OUT THERE.

Viking, I'm sorry you lost money to this criminal. :(

There is a software which uses stolen webcam footage and makes believe you are seeing the person the scammer pretends to be.
Most likely, the scammer is a young man in West Africa and has a female accomplice who answers his phone calls.

You did well to stop communicating with him. But some scammers are very persistent. Block him from chat, add his email address to your spam filter, and don't answer his phone calls. Sooner or later he will realise he won't get any more money from you and go away.
