This is the message he sent me:

My name is Mark and I just wanted to let you know that your profile caught my eye, literally because you are very pretty and figuratively because you sound like a genuine person and someone I could get along with. I like to stay fit and eat healthy. I stay away from the bar scene almost completely, can't stand the smoke. I like to dance, bike, hike, and play cards. One of my favorite things in the world is running on the beach. It is a goal of mine to own property near the water for that reason. It also seems I just feel very at home near the water. and if you want a quick respond to our communication and get to
know each other better than this here is my mail address mark.andrew19 at yahoo dot com
If you think we might strike up good conversation I would love to hear from you.

I know he’s a scammer for several reasons:

1 – His English skills are not consistent with his education level.
2 – He gave me his email address in the message. While not conclusive, it indicates he’s afraid he’ll be booted off the site in very short order.
3 – He repeats himself in his profile information, almost as though he doesn’t really understand what he’s putting in there.
4 – I did a search on a particular phrase from his profile information and got this: Click here for search results You may notice that in some of those profiles he says he’s a “lady.”

[email protected] if you want to ask me more questions.
