The first impression I usually make is that of a serious person, but anyone who knows me well knows that I'm just over-compensating for my playful side, and I don't mind getting a good laugh out of my own mistakes. My daughter likes it, too
I’m optimistic that there is someone out there worth finding. I’m not into the “bar scene,” so I find myself on this website. I don’t mind going to a bar with a date as long as it isn’t so loud that we can’t have a nice conversation. I'm hoping to find an independent and professional woman who is passionate about her life and what she does. A woman with a little class, some culture, and common values. It takes time to build a friendship with communications, and if that turns into a relationship, that would be nice. My perfect first date would start with a day at an amusement park, historical area, or taking a walk through a park. There would be plenty of time to walk, talk and get to know each other while surrounded by things to spark our interest and start conversations to see if we have similar interests, and of course chemistry.
I think I'm a good listener, but a good friend once told me that I'm a pretty good talker, too. That may be surprising because I tend to be quiet until I get a little comfortable with someone, but then again, who isn't? I’d like to think I’m in touch with my feelings and able to express them and that I understand that "Mr. Fix-It" is not what is always wanted by a woman. Loyalty and honesty are very important to me. As much as I hate to admit it, during past work travels I found myself spending a lot of my time listening to relationship advice and insights from different people on the radio. It was helpful getting a little bit of an understanding of how men and women can look at a subject differently (the whole men are from Mars and woman are from Venus thing), and I’ve even found myself watching the relationship advice shows on the Oprah Winfrey channel (just don’t tell anyone. [hmmm, maybe I shouldn’t mention this]).
I am a man with few demands from life. I have no problem laughing at myself and actually find that is who I laugh the most at. I try not to take life too seriously. That is just boring and not what life is about. Life is about enjoying what it hands you and looking at the silver lining of every situation. Someone always has it worse than you do.
I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, but one big requirement is that she is a great kisser. Life is too short to compromise in this area. I enjoy the companionship that I feel while I'm with a lady, whether cuddling on the sofa with the radio on, browsing through a thrift store looking for unique treasures, or driving down the highway, with the wind in my hair. I am a hopeless romantic, and enjoy showing appreciation of my partner through a gentle touch, a smile to brighten the day. If this interests you, get in touch. Who knows where it could lead?
