I get a message saying do I have still have the table and I say I do then I get this responce.

Ful name as it will appear on check:
Full contact address:
Direct phone number:

Please you may delete the posting as i am totally committed to buy,I have a pick up agent who will coming for the pick up after payment is made and cleared from bank.

Samuel

Just want to comfirm that this is a scam? I took the table off ebay before I had even thought to google it. Glad I googled it now.

I replied after a couple of more emails and I gave him my name, address and mobile number. I didnt give him any bank details though! I was weary.

Just kinda need some help what to do next never been in this situation before, he cant get any money from my accounts using the details i gave him can he?

Im gutted too thought i had got rid of the table too.

the scammer doesnt know I know he is trying to scam me yet by the way.

he thinks the deal is still on. if any one has any ideas on how to scam him back or reveal him etc.

I read on reddit that there is a site like this, not sure if it is that one. but one member is high up in banking and can freeze their bank accounts if I can get his bank details out of him./

Hi volc25!
Welcome to scamwarners!
The site that you are referring to is our sister site, http://www.419Eater.com
As well as bank details, you would need a couple of emails from the scammer, headers intact, to show how he was trying to scam you. The only problem that I see with your plan is that this scammer has your personal details.
Don't do anything just yet. I'm going to ask a Mod to give you advice...

Hi volc25 and welcome.
As Helen has pointed out, this scammer has your real life details. It is advisable to either completely ignore him or politely decline him.
I wouldn't worry too much about the information that you have given him so far but you don't want to play with him. He may be in another country but just might have friends or family in your region.

Don't worry about his bank account. We would prefer that you are safe.
If you post the details, such as the emails and headers that Helen suggested, I'm sure that another potential victim will see it and his account will turn up here sooner than later. :D

In addition to what was said above, I will point out that you wouldn't get a scammer's bank account info anyway.

In this type of scam (fake check) scam, the scammer will send you a fake check, written on an innocent person's bank account. He will have no connection to the account, other than the fact that he bought the stolen details.

The bank or the account owner will ultimately discover the unauthorized checks drawn on the account, and will address it through their procedures. The scammer will want money to be sent to the "shipper" by western union or moneygram, which don't reveal a bank account.
