Information on romance scams and scammers.

I met this guy in one of the dating Site/ He's from US then suddenly we have constant communication online.
he said many thing about me.. that he wants me to be his wife, and his mom wants to meet me by december..
after 2 months he said he was sending me a gift. such as.
1.TV
2. Camera
3.rose with diamond
4.2 expensive bags.
5. 1 invitation letter for US
6. and 9,500 pounds and he said i use it to renovate my house and buy all the thing that i need...
7.goods and clothes
8.2 laptop
he gave so called clearance code thru http://www.quickcargoway.com... after 20 days i received a mail that the cargo has arrived but not with the were i live. it arrives in a province and they are asking me to send $550 so that they will release the parcel but i should send it to Western Union..but before the custom mail has arrived he said that he will not gonna have a communication with me for a month because he is in Libya and there is a war there...


I'm so scared. because he send me scan receipt from the custom.. and i dont what to do.. i want to know if this is a Scam..

Welcome to Scamwarners Cissy. It's certainly a scam. Asking you to pay fees to receive an imaginary package often feature in romance scams. As do war zones.
www.quickcargoway.com doesn't even seem to exist. I was expecting to find a fake site, but no.

Thank you so much... He gave a number but when i call . the number is not in use..
he also send me clearnce code but it was invalid. i check it in FEDEX, DHL,TNT and UPS.

As Arnold said, it is a scam. Your best course of action is to stop communicating with the scammer. All he will do is work you to try to get money from you. He is not looking for a relationship, he is not looking for a wife. He just wants your money.

There are no gifts. That is just a way to get you to part with your money to pay nonexistent fees to a nonexistent company for nonexistent gifts.

Don't tell him you are onto him, just stop communicating with him at all. Block his email address and delete him from your contact list.
