HI, got contact some weeks ago via FB then MSn
nothing suspiscious at first view, but since yesterday happening, perfectly matching the hints here:
borne in sweden, parents died at age 4 then adopted by an uncle brought to UK
contractor, living in Liverpool, even gave me a phone number (but never reachable)
even sent me link to google maps and address to watch his house
he is widow, daughter living in US studying there, wife died from accident,
sad story she had an affair w. his best friend, he drank and she crashed the car
w. her and daugther, but she died.. heart breaking story
strange that he fell in deep love after few emails already.

i got pics 3 him, 3 his daughter, with some checking i found out they come from completely
other person on FB! I am in contact with her to find out, but the face ofthe girl proves it must be her daughter and she (the woman) is alive!

now he said his MSN does not work, same like his phone and his cam, he could see me, but I never him?!
he said yesterday that I should kick him there and use a new yahoo mail.
i tried and by coincidence the search for him on yahoo lead me to the scammers side,
i have never heard before of such crucial things and i am really shocked, as i admit I
emotionally have already given something into this "whatsoever"
i confronted him w. my findings, he sends me partial writings out of the bible,
and the unbelieving "Thomas" who had doubts of things he cannot see
he complaints i do not trust him etc and his heart is breaking ( no question abt. mine) and that he would
never hurt me

he wanted to come here in December, if possible, as he is working on 2 yrs contract (ahaaa)
but he did not ask for money (yet?)

I am a bit confused.. do I post the name/ email addresses etc that I have and the phone nos. for others to check? tks for sharing

Welcome to Scamwarners, and I'm glad you realised it was a scam. Please do post his email address and phone number, although the whole email, less your email address and other personal details, would be better.
It's highly unlikely that the scammer is in the UK. They often use free redirect numbers starting with 4470 to give that impression.

ok, he is using email: [email protected]
and [email protected]
phone +44 151 3240311
using : 52th Salisbury Street Liverpool as address,
the poems he sent me were copied from general free poetry pages

content of a mail e.g. :

hello my dearest angel
how was your night my angel? i hope you had a good night rest,my angel thank you so much for coming to my life, you are really a sent from heaven,God is love has answered this prayer i have wanted and been almost too anxious for so long. I miss you more than words can say and my love will reach any distance and fly to be in your dreams and heart each evening that we can not be together. I physically long for you each night and will see you in my dreams until we find ourselves wrapped in the love that grows stronger and deeper each day, into our future together. I believe and have faith in you.

You and only you have given me so much hope and have made me realize the true meaning of life. The true meaning of how a man should treat a woman and the true wonders of why we are here. Sweetheart, please accept my heart as your own and listen to the rhythm of two hearts beating as one. This is my will and my reason to live, for without you I would crumble to dust. I now know that dreams of that one true soul mate are truly real and until now were only a fairy tale. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to realize that not only is there a woman, but woman that knows the true meaning of love that works in so many beautiful ways.

There's an angel on your pillow, to guard you through the night, to bring you pleasant dreams, and help you sleep tight. She'll guard you and protect you, making sure you're safe and sound, and help you sleep in heavenly peace, till morning comes around. Goodnight and Heavenly Dreams.......If I could pick any woman in the world to spend every moment of the rest of my life with it would be you. If I had a choice to have all the treasures in the world or spend my life with you, I would not even think twice... I would be with you. I am not sure how I got so lucky to have you as my life partner, but I know I am the luckiest man alive, because I am with you.

my angel i wish you a lovely Sunday ever
warm kisses

and the answer after i confronted him w. my findings :
"... Thomas, "Doubting Thomas," as he is sometimes called, is the first disciple to put into words the truth that Jesus is both Lord and God. "Doubting Thomas" utters the greatest confession of faith recorded anywhere in the Bible.

Jesus replies, "Because you have seen me, you have believed. ''Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
MORAL :

Never doubt all the time for sometimes you may be wasting time gathering stones not knowing you long had a precious Diamond in your possession.
My baby, i think you are just looking for a way to dump me because of my present predicament, but i would beg you to think twice for no condition is permanent. I promised you love, respect, faithfulness, attention, and affection and i would not turn my back on our love. I am slow to make a promise and fast to keep it.. my word is my ego..

I still love you and would always do"

In the end it is that I have not yet the confirmation of the lady I suppose he has taken the pics from the FB site, but will let you know when I know more.

As with most African romance scammers, you can see a difference in the English between his writing and the copied text. Even in the excerpts you posted, I can see the English mistakes are typical of an African writer, and I immediately see the overuse of terms of endearment (angel, baby, sweetheart) . Scammers typically quickly move to these terms because they can send the same emails to multiple victims without taking the trouble to change the names in the emails. The use of such terms also makes the "relationship" seem more real.

Yes I see. tks for the hint, I supposed so during one short phone call which was broken, I am not English native speaker, too, but I realized it sound like African singers, they have special voice ;) and got cautioned.

Hope they catch him.
