Information on romance scams and scammers.

Hi well add another name to that long list of scammers and victims. I have been chatting with whom i thought was a in the Army, he asked me to mail for his Vocational leave, I question this and he said he didnt really know this is what one of the guys told him to do. I did this and was sent back a email of a small form I filled it out even ask for his active duty number. Then i got the i needed to send money, well thats not happening. I knew that the military doesnt require a fee and i told him this, I also informed him that the addy he gave me was a scam... He acted like he was pissed, Now i am not sure if he is in the military and just didnt understand protacall on how to get a leave. But I have keeped all the emails and his pic's, He is also listed on my facebook as we are engaged... I would really like to be able to find out the truth on this, because if this is a scam, it would be nice to get this guy before he destroys someone..

5. Maximum of leave period to be given to any soldier on deployment is 15 weeks.

6. Every soldier leaving the camp on family or spouse request should have a liberty pass card with him or her at departure and arrival, Identification card shall suffice to identify a service member absence not classified at leave.

7. Paid leave should only be granted to soldiers who are eligible for leave, unpaid leave to the non-eligible soldiers under any kind of condition.

8. Returning officer will be able to leave his designation country 72 hours after all processing is completed.

9. Spouse or family of employee who is requesting for a leave must pay all necessary charges accordingly.

10. On no account should a third party intervene with the processing.

I have saved the active duty number and all. I do know that the pic that i have is of the same man that i have been corresponding with have to love web cam's

i have been recieving the same emails about Leave on Transit i have also recieved a document about the privacy act but i dont know if the guy i have been chatting to is a faker or not his name is sgt. don willis and hes apparently and US marine in the fire fighter department and hes so called based in Kabul so if anyone has any info to see if he is real or not can you please assist me

Please read the second post in this thread from Dotti http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=41145#p41145. That should tell you all you need to know. This is a scam.

Please stop communicating with the scammer.

Also you might like to PM one of the Administrators and ask them to change your username as you appear to have registered using your real name.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
