It's a scam.

In real life, the soldier requests his leave not his wife/girlfriend/some randomw stranger he has met on the Internet. He is also working you up to processing charges for the leave, which he will expect you to pay.

Can you post some of the emails up, including the headers (remove your email details) then we can see where he is really located.

This scammer must be sitting back having a good old laugh!

Talking to this Guy, for 4 weeks.. nothing about money leaving ++ i sent me 4 pics of him self in uniform and they all had his last name on his uniform.. i got a little warning when had 2 Facebook account whit only 40 friends n the other whit only 4.. i had picture of him self that was from the same Guy in uniform. . He would aply for a leave. And he got it, then i needed to go to the UK to sign a war report.. then we would meet.. when i arrived in UK i got this text: :: we didn't know but the senior Sergent in the army told us all that it's the rule and it's standard..
i checked the code of conduct book this morning and i found it there,i was shocked...i never read it before...i have to get the money and collect the cheque before i leave uk cuz that's my 2011 savings they are holding..35k dollars isn't a small amount of money..dont u think so ?
i can't leave it for them,the rules says if a soldier is unable to pay,he wont be able to collect the fund until his next leave the following year... 

He needed 750pounds.. his mom would send him 300, he had 100 him self and now he was along me for 100pounds that would be refonded.. i sad i only could help him whit 70£ ..and he was grateful. .. but the next day i said i couldn't help him at all.. but he was begging. . Pleas pleas. . 70£ isn't much n i was wondering if a scammer actually would use 4 weeks n about 400mail for that amount. .. I'm not in love or anything n he don't get any money from me..

The average annual wage in Nigeria was around $640 a couple of years ago.

So £70 from one victim for 4 weeks work is quite a good rate of pay. Bare in mind that the scammer will be working multiple victims ate once, all with the same script and he could be earning quite well.

As Alan said, there is absolutely no doubt this is a scam, and yes, a scammer will play the role this long (sometimes even longer) for an amount of money that is small in UK, but big in Nigeria. But, it's not just that he is willing to accept a small amount of money. He fully intends to get more money from you if you pay.

This is how scammers operate. They invent reason after reason to collect more money from you. They always pretend that you only have to do one more thing, and then everything will be fine, and you will live happily ever after together. In reality, you can't live happily ever after with the person in the photos, as the real person doesn't even know you exist. The scammer will never actually meet you (even though it seems like he will) because it is quite obvious he isn't the person in the photos.

i checked the code of conduct book this morning

I am curious as to where you checked this code of conduct book. The fees are made up--they are NOT part of the real US military. Any "book" that told you the fees were real is fake, and the website containing it will be fake too.. We need to shut down these fake sites before they lead to more broken hearts.

The funny think is that the IP address comes back at Florida Miami. . Not Nigeria. .

He told me that he had read the code of conduct book.. not me..

Your IP will come up as where ever your ISP is located.

The only different one is if the person is using gmail to send the message as gmail strips out the users IP address and just shows one for Google's location.
