I have been talking to a man since July on this year that I meet off of black planet who stated that he was in the united states army and station over seas. this first conversation that i encounter with him that i felt was kinda of funny is when he asked me about a phone which cost $400.00 so at first I was going to send it but after talking to a friend of a friend i decided not to do so and this man at first was upset but after i told him how I felt he said it was ok but last week we started talking about him coming home on leave and what he was saying for me to do did not sound right but I sent a e mail requesting him to come home becos we where suppose to get married so this is the e mail i received back from some person below:

Dear Madam,
We urge you for a little patience as we're trying to get on a due process in regard to your request. Normally, a leave on transit is a minimum of 1month and maximum of 3months duration. You're hereby advised to write back to us for a period of time you seek for.
You're hereby adviced to read carefully the policy and regulation attached therein.

Thanks for your mutual understanding,

Lt. Col. Robert Gonzalez,
Processing Officer,
U.S Army Leave on Transit Dept,
Pakistan.
and it came with a attachment but I could not copy and paste it...it did not ask for me to fill out anything or any personal information but when I put leave of transit dept it brought me here so i look at this site and seen the same document but form a different person but this document was asking her for personal information like his rank and company that he was in ex.... so when i asked him he stated that he was going to tell me the truth and he told me that

I am very sorry that you fell for a scammer.

He is a scammer and a thief, plain and simple. The moment a "soldier" asks you to make any request for him, it is an absolute certainty that he is a scammer, not a soldier, because the US military does not allow people outside the military to make ANY requests for people in the military, whether those requests are for phone, leave, or anything else. A real soldier requests these things for himself, does not pay for them, and only gets the amount of leave he has earned based on time served--and that amount is not going to be months.

When you say "no" he will act like it is ok, because he doesn't want you to get angry and walk away, as that means he has no hope of getting money from you. But he thinks that he will be able to convince you to send money later, and all he is really doing is taking some time to convince you that he loves you before he tries again.

He is a young African man, not an American soldier. His confession is as fake as his soldier story. Basically, he was going to try to get your money posing as a soldier. When he realized that was not likely, because you were figuring out that he is not a soldier, he simply changed his tactic and decided to try to play on your sympathy instead. His new story will be lies too. He doesn't care about you, or anybody other than himself. All he wants is money, and he doesn't care what lies he has to tell to get it.

Please read the link in my signature line with information for victims, and follow the instructions there. Cut off all contact with this scammer.

There is nothing to think about max. Dotti has summarized the situation very well. You may also like to scroll to the top of this page to the site search and type in the words military scam. You will be amazed at the results which appear on the screen. It is unfortunate these type of scams seem very prevalent.
