I'm sure the folks at IC3 are very willing to meet you, considering the fact that you are sitting in Nigeria trying to steal innocent people's money. They would probably be willing to take you into custody, too.

Once again, for the sake of readers of this topic--the user who signed up under the name "Markie" is actually the scammer himself, who is anxious to stop the reports about him as a scammer. This means that he either has lost, or is afraid of losing, one or more victims because of the report, and it means that the report here is doing exactly what it should. He is either egotistical or stupid enough to think that he can fool us (as if his we wouldn't recognize the poor English or the fact that he just visited our forum from Nigeria), or he hopes he can intimidate us.

Obviously he doesn't understand who we are or why we are here.

OMG!even romance have scams..that is why i would never suggest meeting someone from online.

This guy actually was trying to get me at the time that he was outed on here. He did send me an address, which seems to have gotten deleted unfortunately. It was to a guy called Femi in Nigeria - "Mark's" driver. He was trying to say he was on an oil rig, slept at a hotel, taken there by his driver, Femi. The rig was on the border of Bennin and Nigeria. He had split from his gf 3 years ago when he walked in on her and his best mate...etc, etc, etc.

I wouldn't say DEFINITELY do not meet anyone off the net...what I would say is don't let the scent of roses and romance blind you to common sense. I checked him out and got sent to this site. That wouldn't work every time, but don't let yourself be conned by a smooth-talker ever!

And soldiers? As soon as any guy says he is a soldier, my warning bells go off. My latest baeu (not) is a guy calling himself DAVID ROYCE, e-mail address [email protected]. Poor guy is a widower, is a bomb disposal expert, (but he can't talk about that) has no other family and is desperate for love. Even if it is all true he moves way to fast for me. And why would a guy from Bolton, UK speak in fractured english and work for the USA?
