Based on the language and grammar used in the email, I would say that it is written by an African and not an American, so I would say that it is a scam. If you can post the headers of the email (remove your details first), then maybe we can say for sure where the email is written from.

That is a typical response of a scammer.

In general, it is best not to point out their mistakes. It is better if they continue to make the same mistakes (like mixing up old and new pictures) because the mistakes might alert the next victim.

Just to confirm, though. He IS a scammer. He claims that he isn't, and tries to make you feel guilty, because he still hopes to get money from you. He doesn't care what it takes--pretend love, guilt, or even threats--all he cares about is that he gets your money. He will continue to tell whatever lie he feels is necessary to get you to send money, no matter how improbable his story; and he will only leave when (a) he is convinced you aren't going to send money or (b) someone who is likely to pay more comes along, and he wants to spend money on pursuing that angle.

hi, you need to get his pictures up with a synopsis of what he's written - like an email he sent. Make sure you put in the header - his name and email addy or put meet my scammer *name*, ultimately get the pics up.
