Welcome to Scamwarners, leo70!
Would you please post an email, with headers, that you have received from Srgt Smith Bowman? The more info that is posted, the better other potential victims can be warned.

I totally appreciate this post because I recently got an email from the above mentioned person at the email address listed. He forwarded me the same photos that were attached. He has conveyed in several email messages that God has brought us together. I am glad that I entered his email address into google and found this information or I would have been his next victim. He found me on Rainbow Christians.

Many, many thanks for your posts. This person had been "playing " me since early in January. He found me on
"Rainbow Christians." They have been notified. He is very strategic and uses "cookie cutter" romance
emails to bait his victim. He is patient and will wait a long time to hit you for the money scam. The mistake he made is that after his "commitment" he kept checking the site for new victims. Don't reply to this person. No doubt he will be finding another site soon.

Hello_____
I want you to know how much I love you.... You mean so much to me and I want so much to make you as happy as you make me. Each passing day has me falling more in love with you. You are always in my thoughts and in my heart. I never knew that love could be so wonderful until I met you. You have given me a new perspective on so many things.
I'm so glad everything is working out fine with us. I sent you my flight info and I hope you got it. I am having a little problem concerning my ticket, I need to pay for tax charges of £400 and I want you to help me out with it. I really don't want to ask you for anything, that is why I bought the ticket my self. But at this moment I can not come up with the money. I spent all I had on the ticket and I hope you will help me out with the tax charges.Besides, When i get home i will return it back.. I promise..Then i can have access to my bank account.. I hope you wont let me down.
I will always treasure our love and keep it safe. I love you,______.
God bless.
Sgt Smith.

Welcome Modica52 and thank you for posting this information. Yes, scammers use scripts and that is part of the way we are able to help people here.

Sadly, closing his account will have him just open another account under a different name. It "feels" right to report them and get the account closed, but they plan for that, and we lose a handle / connection we had with them. It does happen all of the time, but we request that members do not do that in the future.

Yes, I just had this person hit me up on Rainbow Christians myself, and it is so unbelievable that he is a scam artist, but I knew something was not right. I almost arranged us to meet next week in person.

I am glad I found this site before hand.

Praise God indeed!

Hi, I've been chatting with this guy for a while now, I suspected something was off weeks ago but decided to keep emailing just for kicks. I don't give him any real personal information. I suspect he'll ask for money soon as it feels like he's ramping up to ask for money as I suspect he'll say he's stranded in the UK soon. I've got a pile of emails from him. Nothing earth shattering in them, just piles of things that don't add up. I figured I should just add this pic as it hasn't previously been posted Image

I've been corresponding with JOHN BOWMAN, stationed in London on assignment (!) <[email protected]> who answered my Craigslist M2M Personal ad.! And he did Christian Singles, too! That's rich!

Last night in a letter where I answered his 20 questions, I told him I'd been SCAMMed before many times, and that I would never be sending money if asked.

Guess I won't be getting any more love letters!

From my experience, they are usually from Russia, Nigeria, or the Philippines.
