Scammer on TAGGED

I recently started chatting to this guy called David on [email protected], he goes by the name David23 R. After chatting to him he told me his name was David Melson and he was turkish, he moved to the US after his family was poisoned (alarm bells started ringing)...after 2 days he was going to the Ivory Coast for work as he is a contractor. I continued chatting to him he professed his love for me, blah,blah,blah and I was his Angel, Queen etc....the problem with all this is I have heard it all before. His favourite songs are Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye and Endless Love by Lionel Richie (hello). Tonight he asked me to accept some cash for him and he would get me a %....I refused. Unfortunately I have recently been scammed and I knew the signs and what to look for. I want to stop this guy oh and the pics he is using is of a guy on Myspace....Mike Barker. I just hope he has not conned some-one else in on his lies....honest yeah right....

Yep you are 100% correct! Very typical story for a romance scammer. I'm glad you figured it out and did not accept the money. Scanners often use their victims as money mules. He wanted you to accept a bank deposit then send most of it to him via Western Union. They do this to launder the money and it can cause serious legal problems for the scammers victims.

Thanks for posting the information it will help others who search those details avoid the scammer. Can you also post a couple of his initial emails to you?

Sadly most dating sites are crawling with scammers especially the free ones. The paid ones are not excluded as scammers can buy memberships with stollen/compromised credit cards.

After this person tried to scam me I googled his aka name with scam attached..n here I am now warning people of this...I sent him the article I found here to yahoo email.listed above...contacted tagged ..n asked y this guy is allowed on there..obviously they know about this....I already blocked him from my profile but did not delete the messages he sent me...I look on tagged to c if they were still there low n behold the messages n his profile disappear...
