This scammer claims to be a US soldier based Afghanistan.
He claims to be a widower and have a 14 year old son called Richard, who is studying in the UK. The son has a trip to South Africa, which 'Ronny' can not pay for as he is not allowed to send money from Afghanistan. He claims that a teacher has paid £700 and asks the victim to pay the other £500 that is required. During the trip, the son develops Malaria and while in hospital, the doctors discover a hole in his heart. The son has an operation and is in a coma and needs to stay in South Africa for a couple of months. There are hospital bills of £3,500 that need to be paid, of which the school has 'paid' £1,200 leaving the victim being asked to pay the remaining £2,300.
While all this has been happening to the son, Ronny has been on a mission against the Taliban and been injured, but his troops found trunkboxes containing thousands of dollars of US currency. Which he has a share of and a diplomat will be transfering back to the victim. However the victim is required to pay €8,500 to transfer the payment.
