I met Mark Gruver on the http//www.match.com dating site on September 11, 2011. He said he had been in the US Army for over 20 years and was currently stationed in Baghdad. He sent me flowers on October 12. There was a phone number listed on the front of the card envelope of 659-524-6975, which I believe is a cell number from Birmingham, AL, based on a web search. He also had someone named Bill call me. The phone number Bill's call came from was 707-666-7637.
I also found him on another dating site http://freepersonals.ru/profile?id=420811;pid=920521 stating he was from Las Vegas, NV. I have several pictures of him. In one of them, he is in an Army uniform with another guy he called Philip also in an Army uniform.
I then found him on the http://www.tagged.com site. On this site, he is using multiple names and city locations (Daniel G in Altadena, CA; Chris G in New York, NY; Daniel G in Reston, VI; Michael G in Colorado Springs, CO; Daniel G in King, NC; Kevin G with no city listed; Daniel G in Herndon, VA; Daniel G in Scranton; Daniel G in Columbus, OH).
I have a bit of an issue with people saying these are fake pictures instead of stolen. These are pictures of real people who have been and are being scammed too. The only difference is they do not have the control of not being used.
