I`ve been chatting to a man with IP 41.138.171.170 Lagos, Nigeria (as above) since middle of November 2011 until a few days ago.... chatting every day with a few exceptions, as on the day above...

He seems to be a lyer. Story he told: He`s Canadian, lived also in the US, now gas engineer at ABB Zurich. This on the dating site swissfriends. The picture showed a white good looking man with the nickname swissnewman. Name: Martin Williams, e-mail: [email protected]

I noticed, he had problems answering the following questions: Does it snow in Zurich? - How is the weather in Zurich? (Now, of course I know why...). Where exactly do you work? What kind of Christmas celebrations did you have at work? Can we talk on the phone? (no...phone fell on the floor...broken). Why don`t we talk on video cam? (is broken). Finally he didn`t want to meet me.... although he said this was his greatest wish. Superficial talks about personal details (lunch, family situation etc.).

Congratulations on recognising this for what it is - a scam.

The reason he won't talk/video chat with you is as you have worked out, because he is not a white Canadian and this would have become aparent if you spoke to him or saw him. He will have spent the past month building your confidence with him, so that he can eventually hit you with some sort of demand for money.
