Welcome to ScamWarners jilly. Some photo victims do know and many do not. Actually and sadly, there is nothing the photo victim can do about their photo being used. Once something is on the internet, it is there forever.

The best thing to do to prevent your photos from being taken off of a Social Networking site (which is where most are taken from), is to set your settings to the most private possible. Scammers scan all kinds of sites and find photos which might work for their purposes. It is important to be careful on the internet with personal information and photos of any kind.
