Hello askmelor!

Sorry to say you are being scammed. The person you are in contact with is not a soldier he is a scammer more than likey a black man from West Africa. Everything he has told you is a lie in order to steal your money.

The pictures he has sent you were just stollen off the Internet from a real soldiers Facebook page or similar. The documents are just made up. His superior officer he more than likely told you to contact is just the same scammer playing another charecter.

The fact is private citizens cannot request or pay for leave. The soldiers do not pay for leave either it's awarded by merit. Soldiers are not allowed to actively date on the Internet while they are serving active duty.

Stop all communications with him. Do not send any money. Do not bother confronting him he is a liar and a thief for a living and will not admit he is a scammer.

Please do post his email address and his initial emails to you. This will help others avoid this scammer.

You can read more about this scam here viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6527

Sorry to hear you were targeted by this scammer but glad you found the site before he stole your money.

Justin

Welcome to Scamwarners, askmelor!
"captain Thomas Edward" is a scammer and that is a scam. Please don't send him any money. Instead, post the email message that he sent you, including the address and headers. We can probably trace the headers and show you where the message was sent from. Most likely Nigeria.
