Information on romance scams and scammers.

Hi,

I am recently seperated and abit vunrable so I thought I would try on-line dating. Needless to say I got chatting to someone who called himself Guest Loovens. We chatted for about 3 weeks, and like other women I ended up falling for the guy, he was perfect or so I thought. He sent me photo's of him, and also told me he had a 13 yr old son.
The next thing I new we were getting married and he asked me to apply for leave for him. I did this but in the meantime my family kept warning me about it. I did send a form back signed unfortunately, but I did do some research into the admin address. Turns out he was quite famous already. Needless to say I was upset, but felt foolish more than anything else. There was alot more to this story but I think you get the gist.
Its a good job it did not go further, I think I'm one of the lucky ones. Please be careful out there, don't let it happen to you.

Regards

Hi geordieblue

Welcome to Scamwarners

If you could post details of this scammer it will help to prevent others from falling for his scam, if you take a look at some of the other scammer profiles in this section you will get an idea of what kind of information we like to have.

Dont feel silly, you were smart enough to not send any money, sounds good to me

If you have any questions

Please feel free to ask
