His scam then involves him travelling to Nigeria where he is mugged/robbed

Further claims to work for a company "Royal Marble Services" and cannot access his bank account (Barclays) - he also claims his bank address is 297 Oldbury Rd, Rowley Regis, West Midlands, but this is the legitimate address of an English Martyrs Church.
