This scammer claims to be a South African who is working on a construction project in Ghana

Here is an excerpt of a chat with the scammer

[18:17:39] David Palmer: Darling when are you going to be able to pay my hospital bills?
[18:18:18] xxx: You didn't ask me about that - did you?
[18:18:42] David Palmer: what?
[18:19:04] xxx: Did you ask me to pay your hospital bill?
[18:19:51] David Palmer: I know I didnt but I thought you are willing to pay for me. I thought you said it will take sometime for you to get it from your investment
[18:20:43] xxx: But, then you said you would wait until you were paid for your assignment on the 15th so I didn't think about it again
[18:21:59] David Palmer: Oh okay, I am sorry about that, It boring here so I was thinking you send it to me so I can pay them and get out of here because its very boring and lonely here, I want to spend each and everynight talking on the phone with you till I get back
[18:22:31] David Palmer: Besides I dont some of the meals they serve here
[18:23:16] xxx: Well tomorrow is 10 May and it will take me between 5 and 10 days to get hold of the money so you will get yours faster
[18:25:31] David Palmer: Honey, cant you do anything about it my love. You can take a loan from your bank because I really want to get out here before friday
[18:25:48] David Palmer: Because I have to put things in place and get back home soon
[18:26:10] xxx: I took a loan from my bank for the last lot of money I sent you

[18:30:03] xxx: Probably, but I really don't want to because I have to pay it back at one hell of an inflated rate
[18:30:53] David Palmer: Sweetheart, you dont need to worry as I have promised to pay you everything back with Interest

[18:32:37] xxx: What has happened with your American Bank Account? And the money from Spain that eveyone was in such a hell fire rush for me to get hold of?

[18:33:52] xxx: Well we need to talk about it because it has to be resolved
[18:34:09] David Palmer: Yes I know and its going to be solved
[18:34:49] David Palmer: But its going to take some time I cannot do anything as I am here at the hospital
[18:35:29] xxx: Did the Bank in Accra not sort it out with the US Bank by confirming your ID
[18:38:01] David Palmer: You know they did and they made the bank here gave me a loan
[18:38:43] xxx: But why didn't they sort out the card issue at the same time
[18:39:30] David Palmer: I dont know but they insist I come there personnally
[18:40:30] xxx: David, that is truly insane, if you don't have access to your account how the hell are you supposed to buy an airticket to get there
[18:42:43] David Palmer: Well I dont know, I have shouted on them but they wont do more. Darling do you have a problem with getting a loan to get me out of the hospital? Is that why you are asking all these questions?

[18:43:59] xxx: And to be honest I hate owing money so it's not something I like doing. I owe no-one a cent and I don't want to start now

[18:46:29] xxx: I know that but if you can't get your hands on your money how the hell is this going to work. I am going to owe all this money

How wonderful it was to get this message from you and want to say thank you very much for sending me this short message. I am glad to meet you and hope we take time to get to know more about one another and see where it goes. How long have you been on the dating site and do you have others that you are in communication with and getting to know them?


Your work sounds vert interesting and glad to hear that you make people's live better. I am new into this and do not know how it works but will try to tell you something more about me.

I have been living here in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape for the past 2 years and do not really have any friends here because I am shy person and do not know how to approach people and become friends with them. I live here in the home that I inherited from my father after he passed away. My father was born and raised here and my mother born and raised in Fairfax, VA. I too was born and raised in the US. I am an only child. How about you Margs?

I run my business from my home as I have a huge basement which I have cleared out and done lovely construction to make a lovely environment for work. I am dealer in medical supplies and supply goods such as hospital beds, wheel chairs, x ray machines, syringes, crouches and other hospital equipments. I have been doing this over 35 years and must say love it so much. I am planning on heading for retirement at the end of this 2012 working year and I hope I will find that special woman by then.

Xxx, I have some questions for you. Where were you born? Do you have any brothers and sisters? How many times have you been married? What are your favorite foods and drink? Have you ever smoked? What is your favorite color? What is your favorite television show? Where do you go on holidays? How often do you have holidays?

Good morning darling,

I thank God very much for what He just did for me. When I received the email that I won the contract. I was so happy because this is going to be my last contract before my retirement at the end of the year. They also suggested that the contract should start immediately. I will be making a huge delivery of medical equipment to a new hospital that has been finished getting completed in a place call Accra, Ghana. Also, I will be staying in a hotel while making this delivery. Honey have u heard of or been to Accra, Ghana?

I am sorry Xxx as I wanted to celebrate this with you but there is no time for that. I am also sorry we cannot meet soon till I am back then I promise you, I will be all yours my special woman.

What I was thinking was that, we could use these next 3 weeks that I will be down there to continue chatting and if I had your address I could send you a post card as well. I could also ring you. I will be flying out off Johannesburg tomorrow at 1pm and will be arriving at Kotoka International Airport which is in Accra, Ghana.

Electra will be going to the kernel this afternoon even though she hates its there, there is nothing I can do about it. I am currently doing some packing now and will be going down to the hospital to take some jabs this afternoon. Hope to talk tonight on Skype. Hope to hear from you soon.

The scammer also uses the following fake email domains to send out a fake letter pretending that he has a consignment which the victim needs to claim as next of kin. The email addresses are being reported.
