Hi cajando and welcome to ScamWarners.

I can tell you from the mere mention of the fact that he "knows someone working in the visa office inthe uk who can assist me get a visa and ticket to go there for 500 pounds." that it is a scam. Visa applications do not work like that - in reality you go to the UK embassy in your country and apply for a visa in person.

Please could you post up the email addresses and examples of the emails that this scammer sends, as it will help others avoid being scammed by him.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

The header only resolves the IP address to Yahoo's servers. It does however contain an interesting entry - the presence of NNFMP. This is a little known protocol that Yahoo say indicates that the headers have been forged, it is normally only associated with scammers and spammers.

Could you also not start a new thread every time you post - use the reply button in the original thread, it will make it easier for us to see the full story and assist you.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

There's no one who handles both visas and tickets. Visas are issued by consulates or embassies; tickets are issued by airlines or travel agents. If he tells you that you have to use a particular travel agent to get a visa, it's a scam.

Please post the emails, including headers. Some people, on receiving a scam email, search for the address; it's often possible to tell where an email really comes from from the headers.
