hi i am 28 years old female, chinese, lives in KL.
i created an account in Match.com recently ( just for fun, i have no intention to look for relationship online ) , upload 1 photo as profile picture.
some guys did like my picture or wink at me
2 days later, i couldn't access to my profile it says password WRONG .
I thought maybe system error so i ignored and left.
later when i was checking my email, i realized Match.com has sent me an email notification earlier to alert me i HAD CHANGED my account info ( WHICH I DID NOT EVER DO !!!! ) ; that email contented new username and new email address ; i reopen Match.com page, search my profile using the username that biAtch changed. i was shocked when looking at MY OWN profile with NEW NAME and NEW LOCATION !
i was so scared if these CRIMINAL use my image as bait for scam for money then i will be in trouble. and seeing someone pretending to be you that feeling is really sucks ..!
i was so depressed the following day can't focus at work . i wrote complaint
( few times , because too upset lol ) to match cs & hoping to get response quick
later that day one guy from match cs replied that they have detected suspicious activity on my match acc and due to that my acc has to be closed. THANK GOD !!!
i am not sure if these LOSERS
will reuse my photo in others website as a bait ( hopefully won't i am so regret until now for uploading that goddamn photo ) , unfortunately that is beyond my control..
so i am here to give 2 little advise sincerely,
1. DO NOT expose too much life photos over the internet.
2. DO NOT trust easily a person who you meet online . Go out and have fun with your real friends , real persons in your life
Lastly , good luck to you my friend if you are searching for Mr. or Mrs. Right from internet ( i believe there sure be some guys are real , just be alert )
