He is quite good in pretending, I must say... Just that he seems to turn gay now But the mail from the 'phone company' was too bad... sorry

I was contacted by this same Michael Berger (same pictures) in November 2012 on MeetMe.com. He claims to be stationed in Kabul and claims to be a widow (wife died of cancer 2 years ago) and has a daughter back home in Seattle. He sent me several love letters and poems, and claimed to be in love with me in a matter of a few days. His love letters sound very very similar to the one posted above. He claims to have moved to the US from Denmark when he was 15. Anyone wanting to talk about their experience is welcome to contact me here.

After about a month of trying to woo me, he said he was leaving Kabul on leave and that he was in Europe, but needed money to send home to his daughter. I did not "bite" but it is soooo unnerving that whoever this is is posting these pictures of what appear to be such honorable military members. Ugh, it all just disgusts me.

Just got an email from this guy ....he's using eric berger now saying his wife died of lung cancer and his son, Jeff, is 11 and lives with a nanny while he's in Kabul.

What email address did the scammer use this time? Also could you post a couple of his intial emails to you. Just remove your personal information.

he is now eric_berger 46..... claims to be at camp eggers in kabul, afghanistan. needs someone to apply for his leave and pay 250 dollars to the military admin.......
