About me:
I am trusting. I usually make logical decisions. I have a good sense of humour and see fun in a number of just ordinary situations. I enjoy reading, attending films and cultural events, and enjoy individual sports such as golf and tennis. I am often serious and purposeful and like to study new subjects. I have a fairly good education with degrees in Economics, Law and Business Administration. Most of my life I have been in management positions and am comfortable taking responsibility. I have been fortunate and also have had my share of misfortune. I have no brothers or sisters.I have degrees in Economics, Law and Business Administration and diplomas in Accounting, Real property Valuation and Town Planning. As foir work, I did credit analysis for Dun & Bradstreet, for 3 years, worked for Sears Roebuck for a year as an internal auditor, spent 2 years as Budget Comptroller of a smaller oil company, then operated for 5 years a brokerage house is a 4 person partnership, then for 3 years on my own as a Real Estate Negotiator (Right of Way work) then on to the City of Surrey as deputy manager for 6 Years, then spent 14 years with Federal Government as a Director and Negotiator, 2 years with DOJ as a Constitutional Law specialist, and 2 years with Treasury Board as a systems analyst and retired in 1992 and served 7 years as Chair of an Administrative tribunal and since 2004 have been providing advice for legal purposes
I like most music except the hard edge music of the ‘pop’ culture. I cannot claim to understand much about music, but the melody is pleasing to my ear and certainly martial music stirs my soul. I can weep over a national anthem sung by a trained voice with a good brass or pipe band as support.
I am a irregular attendee at the local Anglican Church (Episcopalian Church) and have served on the Church Council, and the Diocesan Synod. I am also a member of Kiwanis International and was the Lt. Governor last year.
I am very fond of animals and have a Shepherd/Collie cross which I refer to as my multi-ethnic pooch and its name is Duke. “Duke” my dog, gives me a real reason to walk four miles every day and to be outside instead of being in front of a computer or simply sitting and either reading or watching television. I do like to watch certain hockey games, some golf and several TV shows including: Coronation Street (a British soap); Mystery Theater; Mark Russell; Law and Order; Face the Nation; and some comedy shows, mostly those from England or Australia.
