Information on romance scams and scammers.

I want to know about these four girls as much as possible.

First one, calling herself Amanda Estrada (and before that Amanda Stanton) Image. She posed as Raven Riley before I found out and now she wants to show me her real self, i.e this image. and she even claims her real name is Amanda. The email [email protected] is already recognized for scamming by other sites. "Her" mobile is a notorious +44-7024083668, although she is in South Africa (she persisted in saying she was in the UK for a long time). What I want to know is whether the girl in this pic is a known person, or not. (This image is not very glamorous, so perhaps it's a genuine, but I still think it's a fake) I've seen this/a person on web cam (with a wig?) She has used a lot of different variants for conning, and she is a good bonder, a real ace in my opinion.

Second one Removed

Third one, calling herself Anne Howard(s) Image (now stranded in Nigeria, which seems to be true, the Nigeria part). She uses [email protected] (artistic choice of ID!), and her mobile is +234-8131363280. This passport looks like a correct specimen, except for the "APPROVED" stamps. I couldn't detect any fringes, or misalignment of the photo (well, maybe there is a slight shadow on the left horizontal edge on the pic?) or of the texts, which are not pasted in blocks, but there are devious ways by professionals. She also poses with her son, who is 5? Claims to be both US/UK citizen, with no possibility to get home to the States. Is her face known? Haven't found anything on her anywhere. I think that the passport is genuine, but the picture is pasted onto it.

The three most common locations for African romance scammers are Nigeria, Ghana, and Malaysia.

First of all, let me make one thing clear. These are all scammers. Some may even be the same scammer using multiple approaches. There is already no doubt about that. If you post some of their emails/chats, I can help you to see some of the problems.

First one, calling herself Amanda Estrada (and before that Amanda Stanton)

Porn model Sweet Adri http://www.sweetadri.com/

Second one. The picture looks familiar to me, but in that case I can't find a source. frican But the "family treasure" storyline is standard, run-of-the-mill African scammer.

Third one.
Look at the bearer signature on the passport. Does that say "Anne Howards?" The first name looks like Dave to me. What this means is that a real passport copy was altered. Also looking at the bottom left of the picture, you can see a bad cut/paste job. And, as you said, real passports don't have that stamp all over them (please do NOT point this out to the scammer--we prefer they continue to make mistakes.)
(now stranded in Nigeria, which seems to be true, the Nigeria part)
In Nigeria? absolutely. But "she" is not an American stranded there--"she" is a young Nigerian male, born and raised there. Some scammers will admit to their location, to avoid having to worry about victims finding out on their own. Of course they most often claim to be there temporarily, which is not true.

Fourth one:
I have seen her on web cam, and it must be the same girl as in the pics?

Highly unlikely. Based on the pic and the use of webcam, the woman in the pics will be an actress, most likely a porn actress. Scammers simply sign up for porn sites, then download the videos of these women and use special software (often sold scammer-to-scammer) to create fake webcam from the footage. Forward some of the other photos and I might be able to track her down.

Claims to live in Swindon, but now in Nigeria.

I can tell you right off the bat that odds are over 95% that you are dealing with a scammer for anyone who approaches you on a dating site that "lives in another country but is currently working/living in Nigeria or Ghana." If they are using a photo of a young, attractive Caucasian woman, those odds go up even more.

Based on this myspace: http://www.myspace.com/561027331 it's a scammer for certain.

It's extremely unlikely that the person in the photos is in the scam when it involves African scammers. (It's a little more likely in Russian bride scams.) The person in the photos/video has likely never even been to Africa.

Asking for special photos, e.g. photos of the person holding a sign, used to be a good way to distinguish scammers from real people. But like cockroaches and viruses, scammers have evolved over time. They have become much more skilled at fulfilling these requests, because they know that they are necessary to continue from the scam.

Scammers frequently use porn actresses for a reason. When it comes to porn actresses, if their primary business is internet, there can literally be thousands of available photos to choose from. They can be prepared for many photo requests, and even video requests, depending on what the request is.
