I met a girl on dating web site http://www.filipinocupid.com who lived in Binubusan, Lian, Batangas in the Phillipines. We chatted for over 4 months and Video conference every other day. We talked about our future dreams, marriage and so on. We had to eventually meet in person so I went to visit her on May 1rst until May 11th 2012.

Prior to the visit she never asked me for a penny which made me believe she was genuine. She did tell me that she was married before and was going through an annulment and was attending trail. She also added that it was a costly and a time consuming process.
I arrived on May 1rst and she meets me at the airport right on time. We were both excited and scarred to finally meet one another in person.. We then travelled from Manila Airport to her family house which was approximately 3 hours drive. She had arranged for her cousin to drive as she did like city driving. I paid the driver and fill the car with gas.
We were getting along pretty well and getting to know one another. She had told me that her x husband apparently an American was cheap and never bought her anything and didn’t the care of the family. The Pilipino way she said that when a quest comes to visit the guest treats everyone. I was OK with that after all I was staying at there house and they were cooking and clean for me.
On the 5th day of my visit she said asked me for approximately $10, 0000.00 to cover legal fees for the annulment and other miscellaneous expenses. She said that if I had chosen her as my first choice and if I loved her that I would take care of it and then she could get an annulment so we could marry and she would come to Canada to live with me. I was shocked and overwhelmed to hear this request. I did not know what to do.
Latter on that day I had asked to see a copy of the invoice or promissory note from the lawyer and she said it was a verbal agreement as her mother was good friends with him. I did not press the matter and did not want to raise her suspensions as I was staying in her family’s house (separate rooms of course) and felt trapped and vulnerable. I had several days left on my trip so I had to play it cool.
In the days to come mean time I did my part by buying groceries, household necessities small treats and gifts for her cousins. We later planned a going away trip to Manila where her cousin attended us as her mother required someone to be with us at all times as a Chaperone. I rented a nice hotel; we say some sites, went to dinner and did a little shopping. Of course I paid.
Before leaving I gave here $500.00 to say that I was serious about her and to show good faith. Deep down in my heart I wanted to believe her but my head was telling me something different.
When I arrived home we were back to our regular routine of video conference every other day. Things seemed a little different than when I left, she seemed less enthusiastic to chat with me. I started thinking a great deal. One time when we were video conferencing I asked if she could send me a copy of her marriage certificate as I wish to take it to a Canadian lawyer to see what they could do with her annulment. She said it was at the lawyers office. So I said OH OK no rush next time you go can you get a copy and send it to me.
I video conference with her one time after that. I received some Text messages a couple times and that was it. I think she finally figured out that I was on to her and she is on to the next victim.
A few weeks later I sent her an email telling that I did a background on her and found she was never married to an American. She quickly started texting me asking me to go to skype where she held up a fake marriage certifcate as she had several weeks to make one up. I asked her to scan and send it to me so I could verify. Of course she never did because this would prove she was a fake and a fraud. She also changed her dating site profile by removing photos, changing her age and home town.
I also believe that she will use photos of me and her when she lours another victim in the same manned and will say that I was her foreign husband who mistreated her and left her abandoned and hurt her physically, emotionally and financially scared.
