A sticky situation there!
First of all I would suggest jon_2, of not panicking.
Can a couple of photos and a video be so bad?
Maybe calmly talk to the girlfriend and/ or family and explain the situation. By doing so, the blackmailer has less of an effect. Whatever happens, do not send any funds to the individual. You will need to take some control of the situation and take the satisfaction away from the undesirable person.
It's more likely a bluff, in my opinion. If you were to send money to the blackmailer, what's to stop the items being shown? If you send the money request, you are then seen as a easy target and could be asked for more.

There seems to be a rise in Blackmail scams. The standard advice I've been hearing is to completely shut off communication to the scammer. If they found you through a website like Facebook or other social media, warn you friends and family that you have been scammed and that the scammer may try to send them a virus and not to open the E-mail. This helps keep anyone from opening an E-mail from the scammer.

I've also been hearing that after warning all of your contacts, either close the account or unfriend the scammer and increase security at the site(s). Google your name periodically to see if you can find any compromising videos or pictures of your self. If you do, report them to the respective sites.

Sorry you were scammed. But if you stay in contact the scammer will just keep upping the stakes. If they can't contact you they can't threaten you.

(hope I didn't forget anything)
