I "met" this fellow via an online "dating site"..This is the first email I've received from him...Sure sounds like a romance scammer to me..On his profile it says he's in Calgary AB Canada and in this email he says he's from Winnipeg MB Canada..He's mentioned 3-4 times that he's a widower and lost his wife 8yrs ago...

I would like to get more acquainted with you to see where it would lead us too.

I believe that with mutual honesty, friendship, affection, and love can grow.I am not into "game playing" when it comes to friendship/relationships and I find that I totally dislike insincere flattery or someone saying something just because they think I want to hear it.

Well, what can I tell you about myself? My name is John Marz,I'm a widower been widowed for 8yrs now.I have just only 1 lovely Daughter,her name is Lisa .After the sudden and devastating death of my wife who was a wonderful,sweet and caring wife and mother. I am into Construction Engineering, so i work on a contract basis.I lost my wife 8 years ago to Breast cancer. I use to live in Malibu CA,USA but lost my house in the fire incident that happened years back now i live in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.I'm a widower been widowed for 8yrs now. I am new to this Online dating Scene and Just want to know where this will lead to..Cos a friend of mine met her right soul mate on here.. !I'm ready to relocated to anywhere i found my soul mate.Sky is the limit for me.

In terms of how i see myself, well, i think i am a very giving and kind person, passionate and loving. I love animals, nature, art and music. i love to laugh. i am thoughtful and polite and respectful, i am kind of old-fashioned about manners and the roles of men/women in relationships.

I love nature, God's beautiful creation. The mountains really are my favorite place to be. I used to LOVE camping and did lots of it in my younger days. I want to get back to it again!!!I listen to all kind of musics , Classical , R&B ,Soul , Jazz , Gospel and country music.

I love gardening (wish I had more time for it) and cooking; I don't need lots of "stuff" to be happy; just peace and love in my life, no drama please! Life's too short for it, don't you think? People tell me I have a good sense of humor (Remember life isn't too serious ), I do like to make people happy and can also feel their pain. Oh, I do like going to the movies, out to dinner occasionally...but I really love home life. I am very loving and compassionate, not to brag, but I've been told that so...I always thought kayaking would be fun and great exercise but I have a fear of water, I swim but not that well, my water sports consist of swimming in a pool and wadeing in the water as long as my feet can touch bottom. I love the special effects, like dramas, comedy of course, musicals and westerns.

I am not here for games But I am Looking for a serious and Long term relationship. I don't Care about the Age as it is only a number or Distance as love don't cost a thing. I believe when it is time for the Meeting I don't care about relocating, and I would Like to know More about a woman Like you may be you. I would like to know more about you?

Yes indeed is a scammer.The language alone tells me Nigeria but more likely Senegal. Have you a link to website he is on and we can get more info from the photos and text present? Thanks for the information and well spotted.
