I received some emails from one "Andrew Dorofy Collins" using this exact script, or parts of it. He claims to be from the UK, is a civil engineer, and has a daughter. He claims to work from contracts, and was able to negotiate a contract and fly to South Africa in a few days. He claims to have been born in Ireland, but was raised in the UK by his Russian born mother. This is suppose to explain his accent. It couldn't explain his poor English, or the fact that he doesn't know anything about civil engineering. He uses a yahoo mail address: [email protected]. Too many red flags in his emails led me to research the text, and I found him here. I cut him off before he had the chance to ask for money.

Yes. Thank you Searching. I too was in contact with the charming Andy. Ladies need to be warned about this guy. He is a smooth operator and loves to call twice a day. He first contacted me on June 11. I did not get the above script, except for the list of what he wants to do with his future mate. He had a new one. His poor young daughter and her teacher walked in on his wife having sex with another man in the living room while he was away on business, building bridges and office buildings around the world. So his daughter hates his ex-wife (whom he cried out of his life), and they don't know and don't care to know where she is. He has not known the love of a woman for a long time. I too ended things before he asked for money, but he had told me he was taking his daughter on his next business trip. I am sure it was going to be to Nigeria (or somewhere nearby) and some untimely fate was going to befall her where he would need a hand.

And the ultimate irony -- honesty is the most important thing to him in a relationship!

Yes, I received that nonsense about his daughter finding his wife. When I cut him off, around June 18, he was already claiming to be in Cape Town with his daughter on a job. The plan was to be there for six weeks, and then he wanted to come see me. Uh, huh. I'm sure that's when some tragedy would have befallen his daughter, Patience, or to him. "Andy" is very charming. He didn't get upset when I asked him questions about himself (a clue with most romance scammers), in fact, he told me to email him often and ask anything I wanted to know. Unfortunately, I deleted his emails before I posted this information, so I don't have additional text. I do have a phone number he used: 27 78 3804938

It is not uncommon for a scammer to tell you to ask him questions, actually getting an answer to those questions is more unlikely, getting an honest answer is impossible

In the beginning, he would only answer some, but after several correspondences he would answer them all. Not that a single thing he said was true. He first contacted me through Match.com using the user I.D. "Covenant2010". After only a few days, he said he was only going to communicate with me, no other women from online. However, I watched his activity on the site, and he was "active" every day. Still looking, of course. The first numbers he gave me were redirects making it look like the number was in England; he claimed to live in Manchester. Once he was in Cape Town, he gave me the number I posted. His email IP address traced back to Cape Town. When he first contacted me, and claimed to be an civil engineer, I Googled him. There is a person with the same name listed on a website of Master Builders, which lent itself to his credibility. Otherwise, his story was the same as the one he gave amosaruba. His father was killed in a car accident when he was five years old; he had no brothers or sisters, yadda, yadda, yadda.

He's passing himself off as Wade Bolodenka McGillicutty most recently as this is the exact story I just lived through with him, word for word. There was an accident at the oil refinery where he was working in Cape Town and he was out of money and needed to get the crane that broke replaced. He and Patience were almost out of money and, as he could no longer work because the crane was broken, he couldn't get paid. So of course he asked me to help him out. Exit, stage left . . . .

I see you found my post on "Andy". Yes, this is definitely the same guy. He has a scam that works, and he seems to stick with it. Right down to the poems, nicknames, etc.

It could be either. Many of these scammers work in groups. The emails we have posted are scripts any of them could use. The emails and IMs in which he had to write himself would be a better indicator. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk about those.

I have been recently chatting with a on line dating interest, His name appears to me by Robert Miller, lives in Louisburg , NC and he has used every line in a all these emails you have posted on your site. It's only been a week, he has asked for money for his granddaughter alexis hospital bill, but is some big Architectural Engineer who travel the world (didn't make sense to me either. ) He was ready to take me on a ride for sure, It had been a week that I let him ramble on before getting wise, but at least It wasn't after he took me for what little I have.
What is wrong with people these days... So I wish all who are on this path to find love to give it a question especially if it's a dating site because unfortunately there are not so nice people out there , but at least there are tools like this site to help straighten things out.

The scripts sound vaguely familiar. I received a message from someone on a dating site. We chatted for nearly two weeks before leaving and sharing personal email. The love letters began a week later. Bits and pieces are similar to the scripts posted here. Spelling and grammar are good for a man who claims to be from Denmark, living in Canada, and now working as an engineer in London. When I questioned the originating emails from Lagos, Sweden, New York, he acted worried and said we should contact the FBI. He has called but connections are usually awful. Has said he could fly my son and I to Canada to meet. I simply said I won't travel to a foreign country without a chaperone and getting a passport will take too long. I suggested changing his email as someone was apparently hacking into his email ( I wanted to see his reaction). He complied to my request. Now the originating emails are all come from the UK where he is working now. When he supposedly returns to Canada in a week or two I would expect that to be different. If not I will wonder. It has been over a month and still no request for money or anything else. I am more concerned about the safety of my teen child as I have shared recent photos. On the phone he asked me if I was satisfied with the money I make at my job and asked questions about my son. I am more concerned now this may be a trafficker more than a money scammer. He even asked to speak to my son on the phone. I think that one got my radar going. I only gave the man my mobile number to my prepaid phone so I don't think he can track me or will try. Now that I have a new email account that does not go through my windows live mail and he has a hotmail account I'm wondering what can I expect in the near future as far as his next moves. His prior yahoo account email was registered to his name in California not Canada. The routing IPs used to send his previous emails have all been associated with some type of scam or another, including money, promise of jobs, and fake automobile or puppy sales. I have not heard of any accounts of trafficking but then again if someone is gone they cannot post on the web. I am now baiting because if this guy is scamming I want to teach him a lesson. I would be surprised if he is not. I know traffickers are dangerous and I'm not sure if this is what I'm dealing with but something got under my skin about this situation. Even after he sent photos of him and his dog and some family photos I don't think he's legit. His photos sent via email and on the dating site do not match any of the photo databases. When I find out what he really wants and am sure he is a scammer I will post his name.
